The {h} family

This is one of my favorite families!  It just so happened that everyone was home for Christmas and the mother called and asked if we could a quick session in just a couple of days.  We decided to take the pictures in their front room and I'm so glad we did.  We had a lot of fun and I loved getting to know them better.

L and C

I was so happy to be able to photograph this couple!  They were in town for their granddaughter's baptism and decided to do a {happy} session while they were here.  I'm so glad they did.  They are so sweet and so in love.  I keep smiling when I think of these pictures.

Pretty "k"

I got to shoot a bride :)  She came from GA to visit with her family for Thanksgiving, so we braved a cold November day.  I'm so glad that we did.  We had a whole lot of fun.  They just turned out so beautifully and I am so pleased!

Shhh...

This is my family Christmas card photo this year.  Isn't it GREAT?!?  I have so many fabulous family photos that I would love to share on facebook or on the blog, but I can't because it will ruin the surprise when Christmas cards come in the mail.  So, at the risk of ruin the surprise for my own family, I'm posting this beauty.

My daughter and I

I didn't have any clients this week, so I took advantage of that time to take some pictures of my own family!  I think every little girl needs a picture with her mom.  Personally, I love this one :)

Sweet couple

Would you believe that these two are the parents of eight children?  I love photographing couples that have been married for a long time because there is so much HISTORY there!  I love being able to capture more than just what they look like, but how they FEEL about each other.  I sure love being a photographer.

mothers and daughters

I have been photographing a LOT of families lately.  As a photographer, I consider it a true responsibility to capture RELATIONSHIPS.  What better relationships are there than that of mother and daughter?  I have just one picture of myself with my mother when I was growing up.  It is just a snapshot with both of us smiling at the camera.  I wish that I had something that showed more of our relationship...that showed how much we love each other and how much we mean to each other.  When I photograph a family, I always consider what I wish I had with my own family.

The {f} family

The pictures we took of this family were pretty great, but I was thrilled to get these fun, genuine shots of the kids.

Canvases!

I am so happy to announce that I found a PROFESSIONAL canvas printer at an AFFORDABLE price!  10x10s start at just $40 (including shipping) and just LOOK at the quality!  I'm in love.  I keep moving mine from wall to wall and have decided that I now need a canvas on every wall!

Check out the amazing professional corners...
 ...and the finished back!
One of the main reasons why you want a professional canvas as opposed to doing it somewhere like Sam's Club or walmart is the durability factor.  These canvases are stretched tightly so they won't sag over time.  The inks are archival so they will last for decades without fading.  They come ready to hang so you don't have to add any hardware to the photo.  Delivering Canvases is one of my favorite things to do!  I love seeing my clients gasp when they see them.  They make such a beautiful addition to any home and I am more than happy to help you come up with a way to group them beautifully.

Families!

'Tis the season for family photos!  I had so much fun with this little family today.  I just love it when it is obvious that the children love each other and care for each other.  Isn't that what family is all about?

Heather

My beautiful sister came to visit all the way from Oregon.  She just happens to be expecting and so we had to photograph her!  Isn't she radiant?!?  I just love her.  She is already such a good mom to her little boy and I adore him.  I just know that she'll love this little baby just as much.  Want to know a little secret?  We did this session with FIVE little kids 7 and under running all over the place and two of them desperately wanting their mommies!  My 6 month old was even attached to my body via my baby bjorn carrier.  We just worked quickly :)

Glitzy glam

I am doing some product work for shopglitzyglam.com.  I'm really enjoying this!  It takes me forever, though, because I'm oohing and aaahing over all their products.  I got the paradise polka keychain and love it!  Here are a few of the pictures I've done.

baby "h"

Another newborn!  This little baby was just the sweetest little thing!  I don't think I've ever seen a newborn stay awake as long as she did without crying!  She just kept looking around and wondering what in the world was going on!

wedding

I photographed a wedding.  This is NOT something that I normally do.  I don't have back up equipment and I would feel HORRIBLE if something went wrong!  I was actually hired as a second shooter, so the pressure wasn't nearly as strong.

Baby "k"

This little baby was so tiny and so sweet.  She was only 7 days old! Her parents just adored her and I was smiling the whole time I photographed her

Lovely couple!

I got to photograph this lovely couple the other day!  They were so cute and fun and in love.  What a joy to be around them!

{the "w" family}

Can I tell you just how much I LOVED photographing these kids?  They were so good and so sweet.  What I loved most was watching how they interacted with each other.  They just oozed affection for each other.  Each of these pictures just melts my heart.
